Susan S Allen, MD, MPH
Dr. Allen is the owner of Regulatory and Compliance Consultants (RCC), LLC, a company providing drug development and regulatory guidance, due diligence assessments and expert witness services to the pharmaceutical industry and investment banking community. Prior to establishing RCC in 2006, Dr. Allen was a senior manager in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at FDA for eight years, serving as Director of the Division of Reproductive and Urologic Drug Products in CDER’s Office of New Drugs and as Associate Director for Scientific and Medical Affairs in CDER’s Office of Compliance. During her tenure at FDA, she served as an instructor in numerous internal and external FDA training courses, was a member of FDA’s Drug Safety Oversight Board, and was involved in senior level policy initiatives related to drug regulation and enforcement. Before joining FDA, Dr. Allen worked in the public and private sectors providing direct patient care, clinical research and corporate management services. She is board certified in Preventive Medicine and Public Health and holds a Master in Public Health degree with specialization in epidemiology from the University of California and Berkeley.
